Case Study: BIPOC Scholarship

I was handed a brief that simply said, "We have $20,000 for a scholarship for aspiring BIPOC* actors around the world. Go for it."

So, I did.

After some research, I determined eligibility and criteria, created the application intake form, enlisted industry judges, and identified timelines and the distribution of funds. Then, I created custom illustrations and logo, worked with the marketing department to craft a social media campaign, liaised with the public to address any questions, organized submissions, and oversaw the judging process. Once the selections were made, I reached out to the winners and gathered information to help with the PR rollout, such as a fun "acting statement" to use in the announcements and stats regarding their current agents/managers to use in success metrics.

This was an incredibly rewarding experience.

To accommodate our studios in the UK and South Africa, we adjusted BIPOC to Global Majority, which is more widely used.
