The Vision
Anthony Meindl is an international acting coach and award-winning filmmaker with a deeply loyal creative community. With his fifth book, UNSTUCK, he wanted to translate years of lived insight into a more permanent form—establishing a wider voice, reaching new audiences, and bringing his philosophy beyond the classroom and onto the page.
The goal wasn’t simply to publish a book, but to create a cohesive public-facing launch: something motivational, culturally resonant, and unmistakably his.
My Role
Creative direction, publishing design, and campaign leadership—guiding the project from manuscript to market, with end-to-end ownership across design, storytelling, and release execution.
The Work
From author’s conception through publication, I led the full creative and operational rollout of UNSTUCK:
Designed and refined cover concepts through multiple iterations
Developed back-cover and advertising copy aligned with the book’s voice
Built and executed the marketing campaign across digital channels - print, digital, video
Conscripted and managed an Advance Reader program to drive early momentum
Planned and oversaw the official book release event and supporting collateral
Visually, we explored early concepts rooted in surreal motion—an individual breaking free from their own mental gravity—before aligning on a typography-forward direction inspired by a fun 80s/90s sensibility. The final book cover design uses a bright gradient against deep blue, with the fractured title representing the breakthroughs the book invites.
Beyond the publication itself, I extended the book’s world into social assets, video content, and merchandise—using excerpts and visual motifs to carry the identity outward. Ideas of creative freedom, authenticity, and celebrating life’s hurdles were brought forth alongside the author’s desire to combine a joyful palette with sustainable materials and nostalgic experiences.
The Outcome
A fully realized book launch that helped bring UNSTUCK to #1 on Amazon in its first week, supported by an integrated campaign ecosystem that translated a personal philosophy into a scalable creative platform.
